He was a music fellow at the Royal Academy of Spain in Rome. He also received numerous creative grants (Fordham University, NYU, and Acción Cultural Española from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs). He was an Artist-in-Residence (Molokai Arts Center in Hawaii and Elsewhere Studios in Colorado), Fellow-in-Residence (Chulitna Lodge Research Institute in Alaska) and Scholar-in-Residence (Aoyama University in Tokyo).

He has performed as a conductor and pianist across the US and the EU in theaters such as Carnegie Hall, the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Symphony Space, and the Guggenheim Museum in New York, as well as the Konzerthaus in Vienna and auditoriums throughout Spain. He performs regularly at the Manuel de Falla Auditorium in Granada, where he conducts the Granada Academic Orchestra and the Ancora Ensemble. He is a frequent collaborator of the Federico García Lorca House-Museum “Huerta de San Vicente” in Granada, where he has accompanied the singer Soleá Morente in the show “Nanas.” He has coordinated projects to recover Spanish musical heritage in Italy (“Spagna e la notte in music,” Teatro Machiavelli in Catania) and the US (“Music and Politics in the Time of Goya” at the Hispanic Society/Queen Sofia Institute, “Spanish Musical Dislocations” at Jazz at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and “Spanish Musical Deconstructions” at Symphony Space in New York).
